SF Giants: 2009 Champions! Then what?

I have started a couple dynasties before and never followed through. I have a variety of mediocre excuses, but mainly I'm constantly restarting leagues to accommodate for tweaks or slight changes I want to make. I just finished my first full season and, if you can believe it, the Giants won the World Series. I intend to stick with this league as I made it through a full season, and will catalog the events here. I'm not sure what the voice will be and it will probably evolve as the thread goes on. At this point I picture it primarily as the logic that is going on in the GM's head, or the front office. I also expect to take my time going through the off-season. I don't play as much as I would like, and posting will slow things down as well. But who knows, this will be my first off-season.

A few things. Trade difficulty is on hard. Scouting is very high, and coaches are on. There are three feeder leagues: college, high school, and an international league where the prospects are drafted at 16-17.

I did three moves that could be considered questionable (your game, play it your way, I know, just in the interest of full disclosure). I made Sandoval a better 3B. I feel he was severely underrated defensively so I improved his defense. I think I overshot it, but I only used commissioner mode on the first day, and don't intend to go back. I made Magglio Ordonez (traded for him) have a team option for his 2010 contract. I have since realized this option vests if he gets a certain # of AB's. If he reached that, he battled some injuries, I will absolutely pick up the option. I also made Renteria's third year an option, as that is correct.

I make waiver claims on all players I want. I think some people feel this gives the user an unfair advantage. It has benefited me a couple times, but at this point, I intend to continue to claim players I want. This may change.

To me, this thread will be even more fun if readers (if there are any) ask questions about the team, or the history for me to answer. I don't intend to talk about the 2009 season much, other than evaluating stats and how that relates to the players in 2010. But am happy to address any questions anybody may have like how did I get this player or how did I get rid of that player etc.

Again...World Series Champions!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe it.
