Count me among those who have little or no interest in playing online games in any respect. I understand the appeal; it just doesn't appeal to me (not anymore, anyway). I don't want to have to deal with others in order to play a game. I don't care about competing with my peers. The headaches of online games are greater than those of non-online games.
As conception talked about in the earlier post on this thread, I too like that instant feedback that comes with single-player games, along with shelling out a one-time fee. I also prefer to provide as little info as possible, financial and otherwise, over the 'net.
There's a depth to SP games that online games are rarely able to capture, along with the greater control and customization.
