Bullies 7-4 Kin – 1B Princess Patsy (.338,2,21) smacked 2 doubles for 3 RBI combined, and SS Slowey Zoe Zamm (.270,0,20) drove in a couple of her own to guide Grimside over the hicks from Bumpkindale today before 8,565 at Kinfolk Korner. W: Holy Hale (4-4, 4.17); L: Cueball Smith (2-6, 5.43); PoG: Princess Patsy (3/5, 3RBI, 2 2Bs)

Blues 2-5 Hollers – A second straight complete-game win for SP Babe Appleby, and his 4th win on the trot. No homers from the Piggies, but they did punch 4 doubles – RF Spunk Williams’ (.374,2,22) doing the most damage, driving in 2 in the opening stanza. W: Babe Appleby (8-1, 2.45); L: Kid Ferdinand (3-6, 4.57); PoG: Babe Appleby (9IP, 7H, 2R, 1BB, 5K)

Nightmares 8-9 All Stars – Down 9-0 in the 6th, Riverbottom almost completed a wild comeback by scoring 7 in the 7th, fueled by LF Imogene Floyd’s (.303,4,21) grand slam dinger. Ultimately, however, the timely hitting of Citypark’s ‘Power Company’ – Metro and Twan – was enough to preserve the win at Big City Ballpark. DJ Jazzy Twan (.227,9,25) connected on his 9th homer, tying Billy Metro (.381,9,30) for the FBL lead – a feat which Metro refused to comment on post-game. W: Suzy Q Perkins (5-0, 5.64); L: Mickey Fine (5-3, 4.15); S: Loopy Alice Otter (6, 3.27); PoG: Imogene Floyd (1/4, 1R, 4RBI, HR)

Crabs 6-4 Burners – Harbour Bay ran their record against Salemwich to 5-1 behind the big bat of 3B Jenny Crush (.241,0,16), who went 4-for-4 with 3 RBI including a game-winning RBI single in the top of the 9th to break open a 4-4 ballgame. Big Nate Wimmer (.207,0,2) also helped his own cause with a run-producing single of his own in the same inning. There was a murmur amongst the Burner faithful when Mgr/SP Bombshell Harrison came out of the bullpen in the 9th, then promptly blew the game. In her post-game comments, Harrison said her self-imposed demotion to the pen will stick, with Lips Hallihan taking her place in the rotation.
