April 5, 2009 - Baseball America has named their top prospects for the 2009 season, and in no great surprise Orioles catcher
Matt Wieters has been named the top prospect in Major League Baseball. Although Wieters has never had a major league at-bat, many are predicting he will be one of the top catchers in all of baseball.
In the same report Baseball America announced that the top pitcher in all of baseball is Tampa Bay Rays starting pitcher
David Price. Price made his name in the postseason for the Rays last season and looked very impressive. Many think he will have a great season pitching in the rotation of the defending American League champions.
The following Kansas City Royals prospects made the Top 100 list:
41. 3B Mike Moustakas (A)
49. SP Daniel Cortes (AA)
56. 1B Eric Hosmer (A)
76. SP Mike Montgomery (R)
