Australia FLY Division
No entrants for the Jr. Bantamweight Division so we move to the Flyweights. we have 7 entrants in this one. The top seed, Hussein Hussein gets the bye for the 1st round.
ROUND 1:
Henry Nissen vs Mickey Hill - Nissen lands an amazing 63.9% of his punches while holding Hill to 18.6% but still ends up with a split decision loss as Hill gets the upset to move to round 2.
Taffy Hancock vs Jimmy Anthony - Good tough fight with Anthony scoring the knockdown in the 5th but getting stopped on cuts in the 8th.
Shane Brock vs Harry Hayes - Hayes scores 2 knockdowns yet escapes with the split decision win.
ROUND 2:
Hussein Hussein vs Mickey Hill - Hussein is too fast and too strong for Hill taking a solid lead before scoring a pair of knockdowns and pounding Hill until the ref stops it in the 5th for the TKO.
Taffy Hancock vs Harry Hayes - Hancock comes out fast and ends up scoring a KO in the 4th of a huge right hook.
FINAL:
Hussein Hussein vs Taffy Hancock - Both men have their moments, each scoring a knockdown along the way, but Hussein Hussein takes the 15 round Majority Decision to earn the World Tourney berth.
