August 1900 Story Log
August 1, Washington - The Senators pennant dreams slip further each day as their recent skid has all but given the Red Sox the gold. It's getting later in the year and it will be harder for teams to make losses up, especially for a Senator team that's lost 9 of 12.
August 9, Detroit - The Senators flew back into the race this month with a 7 of 8 game slashing including two wins against the Red Sox and a 4 game sweep of the Tigers this week. Pitchers Rich Vernon and Michael Allen have combined for 31 wins this year and are dominating the opposition lately.
August 18, Chicago - The Cubs have trailed the Dodgers for some time now losing 11 of 12 at the start of August. But their recent 3 game winning streak coupled with the Dodgers skid as of this week have given them new life. With two weeks left the Cubs and Dodgers continue the tight race.
