July 4, Washington - Wahington's Ken Young managed to have a great 4th of July with his league leading 6th homerun heading up a 10-4 win against the Indians. A crucial series for the Senators as the Red Sox are closing in.
July 6, Washington - Washington just finished up a three game series against Cleveland at home. It proved to be a great series knocking the incoming number three team twice while trying to hold onto the American League. However this is proving hard as Boston just finished a three game sweep of the Athletics to tie the Senators.
July 14, Philadelphia - The Senators made quick work of the Athletics sweeping them in a 4 game series and adding on to their 6 game winning streak. The winning streak propels them 3 games ahead of the rival Red Sox.
July 24, Boston - The Red Sox have been absolutely lethal since losing ground to the Senators a couple weeks ago and have regained the top spot with Washington. Winning 7 of their last 9 games Boston looks to keep the race tight.
July 31, Pittsburgh - Bad news for the Pirates as one of their top players, Dave Holbert, will most likely miss the remainder of the season due to a hamstring injury. The Pirates are currently 6 games back and this could potentially end their year.
