June 1900 Story League

June 4, New York - Paul Dunham managed his third straight player of the week award. The Ghost Runner is making a huge splash in the NL with a .420 average and 35 extra base hits so far. He is a shoo in for the all star game later this month.

June 10, Boston - The Red Sox won the battle of second place teams against the Indians. The win propelled the Bosox into a tie with the Senators for League lead. The win came despite a great effort by second baseman Curt Shipe who led the Tribe with 3 hits.

1900 First Year Player Draft

1. New York Yankees - RHP - Bob Christensen
2. New York Giants - 3B - John Hall
3. St. Louis Cardinals - RHP - Harvey Smith
4. Philadelphia Athletics - LF - Kent Martin
5. Cincinnati Reds - LHP - Jimmy McFarland

June 19, Boston - Braves outfielder, Christopher Schneider, suffered another setback with his fractured finger. Despite his .324 average this year the 38 year old from California may call it quits soon enough.

June 20, Brooklyn - Jim Hedrick is taking the league by storm. The 30 year old starting pitcher has recorded two complete game shutouts in his first two starts of his career. These two amazing starts come after some mediocre bullpen work.

June 26, - All Star Game won by NL 10-3. Had 10-0 heading into the 9th.

June 30, Philadelphia - Wilford LeMaster put up another great month taking his third straight Rookie of the month award. Currently batting .329, the 21 year old is living up to his potential.
