American League
Red Sox-3 Highlanders-0
Boston twirler George "Sassafrass" Winter(2-1) pitched 7 tough innings, allowing 7 hits and 0 runs while relief man Frank Arellanes was perfect over the final two to give the Red Sox a hard fought 3-0 victory.Following the game, several Red Sox players banded together while laughingly singing "Tessie" in response to their serenading yesterday by Highlander fans. This is easily becoming one of the fiercest rivalries in the sport today.

Athletics-2 Senators-1 (10 Innings)
In the finest pitchers duel of the season so far,the Senators Walter Johnson(3-1) and the Athletics Eddie Plank(3-0) battled through 8 scorless innings before the Senators finally broke through with an RBI single by RF Dave Altizer, leaving "The Big Train" just three outs from victory, shockingly though with two outs and a man on second, the A's Topsy Hartsel delivered a game tying RBI double to send the game to extra frames where Eddie Plank himself doubled home Rube Oldring in the bottom of the 10th causing the frenzied fans to pour onto the field in delight.

Naps-3 Tigers-2 (11 Innings)
Cleveland twirler Addie Joss(3-1) won his third straight decision, scattering 10 hits and 2 runs over 11 innings in today's 3-2 victory over the powerful Detroit Tigers.George Stovall's 11th inning single and subsequent error on reserve LF Red Downs allowed Josh "Pepper" Clark to come home with the game winning run.In more bad news for the Tigers, starting pitcher Ed Summers was injured while throwing a pitch and had to leave the game early on,its not yet known how long he'll be out.

National League
Phillies-3 Superbas-2 (10 Innings)
Following 5 scoreless innings to start the game, the Phils opened up the scoring with a 6th inning RBI single by CF Fred Osborn,Brooklyn came right back in the 7th to tie the game on a Joe Dunn Sacrifice Fly.In the 8th,the Phils again took the lead only to have Brooklyn tie it again in the bottom of the 9th on a Harry Lumley RBI single to send the game to extra innings where the Phils finally put the Superbas away for good on Fred Osborn's second RBI single of the game, this time, starting pitcher Tully Sparks(3-1) would keep Brooklyn at bay and the Phils would win it 3-2.Nap Rucker(1-2) took the loss for the Superbas.

Reds-7 Cardinals-6 (11 Innings)

No pitcher was safe today,as both teams took turns abusing the other's offerings in this wild 23 hit affair. In the end though,it was an error that would cost St Louis the game, when a passed ball by catcher Art Hoelskoetter in the bottom of the 11th inning allowed the Reds Mike Mowery to score and give Cincinnati the 7-6 win.2B Miller Huggins led the way for the Reds, going 3 for 5 with a stolen base, 2 RBI and a run scored.

Giants-6 Doves-2
Giants 1B Fred Tenney, acquired from the Doves in the offseason in a huge 9 player deal, made sure that his old team wouldn't forget him when he connected on a majestic grand slam home run in the top of the 4th inning that put the Giants ahead to stay thanks to Christy "Big Six" Mathewson's(2-1) curves and slants that held the Doves to 2 runs on 9 hits and 4 walks. He also struck out 6 Boston batters.

Pirates-5 Cubs-0
The Pirates continued their climb to the top of the National League standings with today's convincing 5-0 victory over first place Chicago.Bucs twirler Howie Camnitz(2-2) blanked the Cubbies on 5 hits and 3 walks to move the Pirates to within 3 games of first.
