A nice turnaround. Currently had a 5 game winning streak going into the end of August. Babe Ruth hit .343 4 HR and 17 RBI in August. Other players stepped up. Joe Jackson .321 4HR 21 RBI, Cy Williams .304 19 RBI, Walter Johnson 5-2 2.60 20 Ks, Rookie Danny MacFayden 4-2 3.74, Jeff Tesreau 4-2 2.74. Eddie Collins went on DL and Ty Cobb collected hit 3500 on August 31 1926.
