Boston's David Ortiz was announced as the AL Batter of the Month for May after hitting .388 and racking up 9 home runs, 26 RBIs and 21 runs scored.
Oakland's Justin Duchscherer was named AL Pitcher of the Month for May after going 5-0, fanning 44 in 46.1 innings, logging an ERA of 1.94 and allowing opponents to hit .200 against him.
New York Yankees' Eric Duncan was selected AL Rookie of the Month for May after hitting .283 with 3 doubles, no triples and 8 home runs. Duncan also scored 15 times and drove in 26 runs.

Milwaukee's Prince Fielder was announced as the NL Batter of the Month for May after posting a .295 batting average with 13 home runs, 22 RBIs and scored 26 runs. Fielder also worked pitchers for 12 walks to post a .375 on-base percentage.
New York Mets' Johan Santana was named NL Pitcher of the Month for May after racing up a 5-0 record in 6 starts, posting a 0.80 ERA over 45 innings and striking out 37.
Pittsburgh's Nyjer Morgan was voted NL Rookie of the Month for May after going 24-74 in 25 games with 4 home runs, 9 RBIs and 8 runs scored.
