Can't remember much about the article but he went on about defenders saying that the difference between a top defender and an average defender was his brain, ie when to kick the ball out of play and when to pass the ball in and around your own box.

There was a programme about Bobby Moore on the other week and one of his friends could have been a pro footballer so Moore asked him why he hadn't done it, his friend replied I couldn't head the ball, couldn't kick a ball and couldn't run fast enough, Moore's reply was "I couldn't do any of those either but I still capatained England to a World Cup win". Moore is probably the prime example that if you have a football brain the skill level doesn't have to be high to be a great player.
