North Hills Dozier Trade Finished, Belle Plaine Gets Deaton
Signed. Sealed. Delivered.
North Hills sent 34-year-old reliever Lyle Deaton to Belle Plaine for 29-year-old reliever Ben Boulanger. Both teams expect to introduce the players to their new teammates within a day or two.
These players were part of the Lou Dozier trade several weeks ago. They were the "players to be named later".
Deaton was 3-0 in his rookie year last season with a 2.33 ERA in 17 relief appearances.
Boulanger was also a first-year player in 2003. He finished the season 2-0 with 3.86 ERA in 26 games.
Both will be spot starters and middle relievers with their new teams.
