Game #27 – Chicago (A) White Sox [14-12] (C. Richard 0-2, 4.61 ERA) at Kansas City Royals [13-13] (L. Hudson 2-1, 3.27 ERA)

Chicago (A) lineup: SS Lillibridge – C Pierzynski – 1B Konerko – DH Thome – 3B Fields – LF Anderson – CF Broussard – RF Kroeger – 2B Beckham
Kansas City lineup: 2B Bloomquist – SS Aviles – LF Butler – 3B Gordon – DH Jacobs – RF Guillen – CF DeJesus – 1B Teahen – C Pena

Kansas City 4
W: L. Hudson (3-1) L: C. Richard (0-3) S: J. Soria (5)
HR – CHA: B. Lillibridge (1) KCA: B. Butler (3)

A pretty uneventful game. We gave up 2 in the first on a Gordon double, and 2 in the sixth on a home run by Butler to put ourselves in a 4-0 hole. Lillibridge hit a 3-run, one-out homer in the 8th to pull us within one. Pierzynski followed with a base hit, but Konerko struck out looking. Thome added a base hit of his own to move the tying run to second with two outs, but Fields grounded out to short to end the inning and our last real chance.
