I am suprised there is not more talk about the final that is to be played tonight. I am going down to the local pub to have a nice hamburger and chips and down a couple of summer wheats.
Despite what one poster tried to say up above. Their is hardly any anti US sentiment. At least here in Germany. For the most part the sports news is treating this with much fanfare.
That partly stems from Brazil not being that popular. But I do think many fans have a rooting interest in the US team in a underdog role.


And I do think the US has a chance of winning. They need to limit the amount of chances Brazil has off set pieces. Brazil scores about 1/3 of their goals on set pieces. They need another stellar GK effort.
South Africa showed that Brazil can be out worked athleticaly. The US can do this if they want too.
Finally the US offensive chances have to come in the air. The Brazil back line can be beaten in the air off crosses and set pieces. The US set pieces takers cannot waste set piece chances or crosses. They will not get many. They have to be delievered in the air and on target.
