Pirates Win 6th Straight, Climb Standings
Pittsburgh Defeats The Cubs 5-4 To Continue Streak

PITTSBURGH, PA --
The Pittsburgh Pirates are rolling after defeating the Chicago Cubs 5-4 for their 6th straight victory. The team was dealt a huge blow a few days ago when they learned catcher Ryan Doumit would never play again. However, the news has not seemed to affected the team's play on the field.

Zach Duke threw for 7 innings, but allowed 4 runs and was pulled in favor of Tyler Yates, who recorded his 7th win. Matt Capps continued his dominance against opposing hitting, saving his 21st game of the season and not allowing a single run.

Nate McLouth had a great game for Pittsburgh, going for 3 with a double, 2 RBI and a walk. Eric Hinske homered in the win. Ted Lilly dropped to 3-8 for Chicago after being charged with the loss.
