As for injuries, just looking at rotoworld reports from June 2nd only, you have the following real life injuries that caused a player to leave or miss a game, or to be placed on the DL, on either June 1 or June 2:
Evan Longoria - hamstring tightness
Jake Peavy - flu
Ramon Martinez - fractured finger
Milton Bradley - calf strain
Asdrubal Cabrera - probable dislocated shoulder
Josh Willingham - stomach virus
Mark DiFelice - elbow soreness
Sid Ponson - elbow strain
Kip Wells - adductor strain
Carlos Beltran - stomach virus
Mike Cameron - knee soreness
Edinson Volquez - elbow tendinitis
Jesus Flores - stress fracture (shoulder)
Josh Hamilton - abdominal strain
David Riske - Tommy John surgery (setback)
Chad Qualls - forearm soreness
I didn't read the reports from June 1, so there are probably others. That's already eight injuries per day, not counting those I missed, in a 30 team league.

The problem with the OOTPX is that ALL the injuries are 'in game'. And lets not forget that many of these 'injuries' are only keeping players out because of their vast salaries. Back in the day many would play through a stomach flu or a calf strain. Now days its safety first.
I realize that trying to model injuries is quite difficult. But I play out all my games and the avalanche of injuries is absurd. When a SP gets a niggling injury he is immediately removed from the game which is unrealistic. Working together, perhaps we can improve the injury model.
