You can create dedicated size versions of your logo, based on what size is used on the relevant game screen. (At least, that was the plan. I think it was implemented, but I forget the specifics at the moment.)
Dedicated size versions help, but nevertheless detailed logos lose something, sometimes alot, when reduced past a certain point. This is less of an issue as the logo gets simpler.
For lots of folks, they may not notice, or care. But as someone who has designed some logos, I think I speak for a good number of designers when I say I'd like the logo work displayed in the best possible manner. The aesthetics matter to some of us.
