Game Crashes after season - Revisted

Hi,

I am having the same issue as this closed item http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...ason-over.html

Setup is a bit different - Historical league, just finished the last game of the 1886 season and each time I attempt to advance the day Vista gives me the message that the program has stopped working.

I had created a backup just prior to the playoffs and have reloaded multiple times and each time I am able to sim the playoffs with no problem but once the last game is played (and the playoffs have varied from a sweep to going 6 - so it does not seem to be a date issue) and try to continue it crashes.

I've searched as much as I can and have tried anything/everything I found such as turning off auto expansion, turning off scouts, removing the faces.dat file from the folder and every combination of the above and continue to get the same result (crash).

I'm at work right now so I do not have the game available to answer any specific questions but I am running the most current version. Running Windows Vista (not sure what ver. I think Prem), Intel Core 2 Duo, and 4 GB of ram.

The universe consits of the Historical league that I started in 1871 and all the other leagues available (Cuba, Japan, etc..) except the Major League one. Also running all levels of minors. Yes it is a pretty large file. But plenty of HD space.

One more thing I just thought of - I was able to save the game as well after the last game of the playoffs.

Not problems with other historical or fictional leagues.

What does the system due immediately after the playoffs when I hit that advance day button? Maybe there is sometime of workaround so I can continue my league if there isn't a full solution.
