So once I am able to download OOTPX (Can't wait!) I am setting out to create a fictional universe set sometime in the future after the MLB has for whatever reason folded. I want to start out with an 8 team league and slowly build to at least 30 teams along with 4-5 levels of minors and 1 or 2 independent leagues.

Just wondering if anyone had any ideas for a timeline of expansion and how to deal with financials if I was to start in say 1995? It would obviously need to start out without the players making millions as it would be a completely new league.

It is a pretty broad question, but whenever I have tried this in the past I have encountered problems with financials and other things.

Also, could I create a completely fictional league with real players and how would that work?
