On a somewhat related note, I learned the hard way that post-season rosters are completely set at the end of the season. My ace (Josh Beckett, 5 Stars) had a couple days remaining of injury while on the DL, so I did not put him on the active roster at the end of the season. Well, I was not allowed to bring him off the DL for the playoffs, thus denying me the use of my ace at the time of year when an "ace" is most deadly. I was ticked before the playoffs even began. But, hey, I still "won" the whole thing without him, even if I did play Game 7 several times.

Unless things have changed, you can set your post season roster at the beginning of any series in the post season. Have not attempted in v5 yet, but it was that was in all other versions.
