You can put that more strongly. Jews rest on Saturday (which for them starts at sunset on Friday and ends at sunset on Saturday) BECAUSE it's the seventh day, and God rested on the seventh day. Christians celebrate Sunday because that's the day Jesus rose (and also to differentiate themselves from the Jews).
My suspicion is that Friday the 13th was originally thought to be unlucky was because the Friday Jesus died fell on the 13th, but I have absolutely no proof for that. Did you know that over any 400 year period more Fridays fall on the 13th than any other day of the week? Thursday and Saturday tie for second.
A friend of mine gave me a wall calendar 20+ years ago that had the weeks running from Monday to Sunday. I couldn't wrap my mind around it, so I never used it. My best friend counts his weeks from Monday to Sunday.
