This is not true, there was a day when it was. Only the last couple years have we seen the date start slipping back. Which probably has alot to do with the game becoming more complex each year.
I am not complaining here just pointing out that there was a time when it was out before or very shortly after opening day. I am sure some on here can point to the specific versions.
I am just glad that we got some news to keep us all at ease for a week or so before we start to lose it again.
For instance it appears by going back to some of my emails that OOTP7 was released on March 23rd before opening day and only 2 versions ago.
