What I like about Steam is all my games are basicly in one place that way. The big selling point for me with Steam though was that once you purchase something through Steam, you can always download it from them at any time in case you get a new computer, or something happens to your computer. You can be at a friends place and just log into your Steam account and then download the game there for play. I just am not a big fan of the whole boxes/books/cds thing anymore. I know you can purchase the game online here and download it much in the same way, but I guess since I already have all my billing and account information in one place I get too lazy to put it out on every other site when purchasing things. I guess for me, Steam is just a convienent way to buy PC games.

Even if its not available on Steam I still plan on getting OOTP 10, but I would love to see it on there ;p I'll just wait a bit longer for an official answer before purchasing is all.
