One neat thing about FOBL (IMO) is that we don't have a waiting list and we don't post on message boards for new members.
There is a system in place whereby prospective owners (affectionately called "vultures") participate on our <a href="http://www.thefobl.com/cgi-bin/ikonboard/ikonboard.cgi" target="_blank">message board</a> (the nexus of league activity) and contribute to policy discussions, rules formulation, write articles, and in a few cases act as assistant general managers for teams. What's nice about this is that folks who want to become involved in FOBL really become immersed in the league, so when a team does come open from time to time we can pick from a group of already active particiapnts.
