I just wanted to get some people's take on this.

I always get emails from players asking to sign an extenstion b/c their contract is expiring soon. Have you found that negotiating with that player right away helps the process, or can you just wait until the end of the season when you're forced to make a decision?

I hate the idea of extending a guy in May/June that I;m not sure about yet. I like to wait until the full season plays out but I'm wondering if I am hurting my relationship w/ that player.
