San Alejo Dominates TU South, Wins 102 Games
Lando Peceda, the skipper of the San Alejo Montaneros must have the cushiest job in the IPA. The Montaneros dominated the Tycobbian Union South by winning 102 games. The closest competitor was the Colchester Elites, a very distant 19 games behind them. San Alejo was 24 games in front of the third place teams, the Southport Sun Sox and Turon Typhoons.
Peceda's club is solid in all aspects of the game - hitting for a .272 batting average (3rd), clouting 165 homers (2nd), compiling a 3.14 ERA (1st) and fielding at a .981 percentage (2nd).
The Montaneros are now heading for the IPA playoffs. In First Round action it be San Alejo tangling with tough Turon, one of the better second-half team. In the other division match-up it will be Colchester and Southport.
