Hello Barkflex
I agree 100% with you on if it was a role play game it would attract more buyers and also have a better chance of attracting the more casual fan. That would be so much better then just watching a fight take place. If your dedicated enough to work at running a universe that also takes the game on to another level and adds a lot more depth to the game. The problem with taking that route is of course it that its frustrating at times for some of us who love boxing to sort out how to run one. Let alone a new buyer or more casual fan. I know the guys on here will help people in that respect to sort it out. But a lot might download the demo watch a few fights and think No its not for me. So they might never come to this site where they could get some help from us and perhaps start to enjoy the game.
The biggest problem though as i see it, is boxing has no where near the following that many other sports have so the wise move is of course if your going to spend time and money on a game it makes sense to do that on a more popular sports game which you can be sure will cover costs and at least make a profit for your company
Put it another way if you and i decided to invest all our money in making a sports game would you pick a boxing game. Remember its your money now. I sure as hell know my answer on that one
