I kind of disagree with you Danny. Yes, there are people that need bells and whistles but most I tried recommending the game to didn't like it because there was no career mode. Look at Greydog's MMA and wrestling games, they don't have anything flashy, and the menu's are sometimes hell to navigate through but people are absolutely nuts about the upcoming WMMA 2. I'm sure TBCB would do much better if it had a career mode (obviously). Even younger people can still get into text sims but you need to offer them some kind of interactivity, and, most importantly, a challenge.
