It didn't take long for controversy to find the newly formed Lakanos Boxing Association.

In only their third ever night of boxing, referee Pete Podgorski made the decision to disqualify Vincent Moore in his first ever contest against fellow rookie Denny Floyd.

Moore was warned constantly through the contest for a series of misdemeanours and Podgorski finally lost his patience in the 11th round, having already issued 2 official warnings.

The bout was fairly even up to that point. Moore had even knocked down Floyd in the early rounds.
