He finally got one. Dominant all season, Angelo Pacheco finally got a shutout. I'll just let the OOTP news report take it over....
------------
Ángelo Pacheco of the St. Louis Cardinals spun his magic on the Boston Beaneaters today. He blanked them 5-0 on 6 hits, registering 9 strikeouts and 1 walk.
"The bottom line was I just kept the ball down," Pacheco said. "My breaking stuff was down. Everything was down."
Talking to reporters in the postgame interview, the St. Louis skipper said, "We got solid pitching, good defense and we took great team at-bats in a lot of different situations. This was just a solid performance by everyone."
To this point in the season, Pacheco shows a 16-2 record, 17 starts, 148.2 innings, 114 strikeouts and a 1.57 ERA.
