"And I still haven't had a shutout in this dynasty"
I said that after the last game.
Can I say this time that I haven't scored 20 runs in a game yet?
Because today at the Baker Bowl, after I bitched about not having a shutout yet, Jorge Montalvo fired a 3-hit shutout to beat Philadelphia 4-0, which made it eight in a row for the Cardinals. He was dominant the whole way through, and got a clutch double play ball with the bases loaded in the 4th. Montalvo also excelled at the plate, going 2 for 4 with an RBI double.
A little concerning is the struggles of John Burt. He's just not up to his dominant self lately as his average has dropped to a HORRIBLE (insert sarcasm) .345.
On to New York!
