St. Louis continued their road trip today, heading to Boston for a 4-game set against the Beaneaters. Today, they came away with a 10-5 win, but it was costly, as starter Angelo Pacheco was injured sliding into second base trying to beat out a throw.

The Quinn Allison experiment came with mixed results, as he drove in 3, but made a crucial error that allowed Boston to get back into it.

However, when sliding into second base on a fielders choice, Pacheco jammed his finger and had to leave the ballgame.

Pablo Gutierrez had to come in and pitch, and a Quinn Allison error led to three unearned Beaneaters runs and a 6-5 game. Boston would get no closer however, as John Burt added a two-run double, and Gutierrez closed out the game for a 10-5 final.

It was determined that Pacheco may miss his next start, as the injury was on his pitching hand. Manager Jaime Garcia said "We'll take it day by day".
