I feel differently. I sim while looking at the schedule page and check boxscores that interest me. At least once a week I check my starting rotation, relief pitching and batting orders for trends and DTD injuries. I check out other teams stats and the league stats on a regular basis. If a significant injury occurs the game lets me know so I can make the appropriate changes. I do the same with the AAA team but not the others. Rarely I will play out a game or series of significance, especially if it is late in the season with playoff implications. I play out each of my playoff games.
I admire those who play out each game. It doesn't suit my personality.
