The Cardinals were back at home today, facing the Cincinnati Reds and coming away with their 6th win in a row, by a score of 3-2.

This was a pitchers duel between the Reds' Arthur Carter and Angelo Pacheco. In the 8th inning and a 1-1 score, Henry Beard got a leadoff walk, was sacrificed to 2nd, advanced to 3rd on a Thompson single, and scored when Robby Wilson beat out the double play ball that could have ended the inning.

The Cardinals got two men on in the bottom half of the 8th, and Willie Keith brought them both home with an RBI single into right. That would prove to be the difference as Pacheco shut em down in the 9th.
