In a spirited back and forth affair,no pitcher was safe,as the Phillies and Cardinals combined for 29 hits and 13 runs with Cardinals 3B Joe Torre's solo home run in the top of the 9th being the difference maker in St.Louis' 7-6 victory.Phils catcher Tim McCarver left the game in the first inning with an abdominal injury,the severity was not immediately known.
