End of Season Review

As you can see Patrick Shaw was my best pitcher. The only problem is he makes over $12 million a year for 2 more years. I might have to move him so I can hopefully get 2 or 3 decent pitchers for his salary.

Craig Gill had an awesome year. He is arbitration eligible and he is projected to make $5 million this next season. He was requested in a few trades at the deadline but the other GMs were trying to rob me blind. I approached Craig about an extension but he wants 13 million a year for 2 years.

I have $8 million coming off the books after this year.
Jose Franco $1.5 million will not be back
Pablo Rodriguez $5.86 million will not be back (at least for that much)
Jorge Rodriguez 800k will be gone

Orlando Navarro was a very nice suprise in September. I am not sure how I will be able to get him into the mix. My outfield is pretty decent. If I could get him to play CF he might be able to take a shot a moving out Bart Evans. Bart struck out too much for me, especially in key spots.

Orlando Navarro was making $3 million but is scheduled to make $2.4 million in Arb.

Bart Evans is looking at 462k.

That is one thing this team was really bad at doing. I couldn't tell you the amount of times I had runners on 2nd or 3rd with less than 2 out and I couldn't get them in.

As you can see I have some decent depth in the low to mid minors. In fact I have a glut of outfielders, not sure there is room for them all. I might be able to parlay some of them into some pieces I could use now. The pitching at the rookie level was horrible, they have 0 control so far. I suppose that is to be expected. I had a handful of injuries and they were long ones. A few pitchers in AAA made me do some juggling as well as some injuries to some top prospects.

So that is the look at the organization heading into the Hot Stove League.
