Philadelphia,Pa.-Following a terrible weekend series in which they were easily swept by the Chicago Cubs,the Fightin' Phils headed home to start a 3 game series with the St.Louis Cardinals who have been on fire lately,collecting victories in their last 6 games.In today's game though,the Cards were up against Phillies ace,Steve Carlton who was masterful once again,going the distance while scattering 11 hits and striking out 5 in the Phillies 6-1 victory.So far this season,Carlton is now 3-0 with 27 IP, 18 K's,and a 2.00 ERA,all for a team that is 1-5 without him.
