August 17-Newmarket hit six homeruns by six different players as the Mules hammered the Bobcats 15-3. Fernando Peralta and Allan Fox each had three hits and three RBI to lead the Mules offensive attack. Chester Griffin was the beneficiary of the offensive explosion, going seven innings, striking out eight and improving to 9-6 on the year. (68-47)

Wallace Harrison won his 5th straight decision, going seven innings, allowing seven hits and two runs with three walks and six strikeouts, moving to 10-9 on the year. (72-47)
