-Antonio Torres of the AA Honolulu Monkeys, the AA affiliate of the Newmarket Mules, pitched the first no-hitter in professional baseball this year, as he walked two and struck out eight, while throwing 105 pitches in the Mules 5-0 win over the Mesa Whirlwinds. Brent Benson homered twice, driving in four, providing most of the offense for the Monkeys. (I would post the boxscore, but my copy/paste still isn't working, and I'm afraid if I can't figure it out, I am done at the end of this month, since I can't post stats or anything)
Next on tap for the Mules is the beginning of a homestand, with the first four games against the Bangor Crusaders, followed by three games playing host to the Portsmouth Clippers. The 2009 Amateur Draft recap is next though!
