I was a little vague describing this file so here's more information regarding exactly what you are getting. Anybody not familiar with the concept of relegation & promotion, it's simple:

3 Leagues of 16 teams each
Premier League Champion is the Champion of the World
16th place in the Premier League is relegated to Division 1
Division 1 Champion is promoted to the Premier League
16th place finish in Division 1 is relegated to Division 2
Division 2 Champion is promoted to Division 1
16th place finish in Division 2 is one bad franchise

I have never been a fan of the current wild-card playoff system, division championships, or even league play. Putting the MLB into an English Premier League system creates so many new areas of focus throughout a baseball season.

Below I will include some stats and results from my current testing of my file which currently sits at 4-11-47. This will give you some idea of the results you might have.

As well, here are a few of the different story lines that come about from season to season within this Premier League setting along with the makeup of the initial file which starts in 1907.

Premier League

As you can see, Division 1 & Division 2 are set as 'International Leagues'.
This allows you to quickly discern between Premier League stats & all other league stats (INT, AAA, AA, A). These two leagues are a set a notch below the Premier League in player talent. While the Premier League will bring in all historical real players, the international league creates a limited number of fictional 100% international players during a 3-round only amateur draft each season.

To be the Premier League all-time HITS leader or HR leader is obviously quite the accomplishment. The goal of hitting 500 career home-runs is much loftier then in traditional league setups however. To play on a team and enjoy an entire career within the Premier League is an accomplishment all in itself, and few will do it. It's 1947 in my test file (pictures from that are following), and 500 HRs in the Premier League has still not been accomplished. I have been hands-off outside of changing Ruth's position in 1918.

I picked 1907 in order to sim a full 100 seasons and see how it plays out. Helps that Cobb, Speaker, & Joe Jackson were all just entering the league.

Ruth is the perfect example of what can happen to teams should they face the agonizing prospect of relegation.

Thus far, the most devastating loss for a team in Premier League history occurred on the final day of the 1922 Premier League baseball season. The Yankees lost their final game of the season, and were relegated for the first time in franchise history -- and it could not have come at a worse time for them.

The following season they finished 3.5 games out of the Division 1 Championship, and were forced to suffer one more season relegated until finally getting back with a Division 1 Championship and promotion in 1924. But the damage was done. After one full season with a lower media contract, fewer fans & merchandising, team changes were in order and Ruth was shipped off to the Phoenix Diamondbacks forever changing baseball history. (actually the Arizona Diamondbacks, but I prefer City names for teams)

Cobb is a good example of how many former Premier League Superstars will finish their career with teams down in Division 1 & Division 2 with dreams to someday return.

Charleston was one of the rare guys who started and finished within the Premier League, which in turn places him all over the all-time leader-boards.

Only one team from Division 1 or Division 2 has won a Premier League Championship. The 1932 Montreal Expos, led by Fritz Ostermueller & Waite Hoyt (Hoyt being yet another Yankee casualty during their relegation period).

Few promoted teams can actually remain for an extended period of time up within the Premier League. As time goes on, they must compete with the larger stadiums of established franchises, big contracts in their new environment, and if they are not a real baseball franchise of the period -- they can only build through free agency. Real teams get their historical actual players.

The Red Sox suffered relegation in 1920. They finished in 2nd place twice down in Division 1 but could not get back up to the Premier League again until 1929. They barely staved off relegation the following two seasons, just in time to get a young Ted Williams who has saved the franchise and put them in line with the all-time great teams.

In the initial file, I set the Hall of Fame credentials a little too high -- that is something you might want to change to your own tastes. I prefer that only a handful of players ever make it.

Each season on roughly 9-26 each year, you must go into Game Setup, League Setup, Functions Tab, & Edit League Structure.
Go in between the 3 leagues and promote champions, while relegating last place teams. Don't forget to regenerate the schedules!
