I think it was because i change the setting for injuries to average. I think i will keep it at low till 1900.
Indivual stats dont look to bad. When Ty Cobb bats .367 in rel life and he bats .366 in youtr sim, id say thats pretty close. Oh and Ty played his whole entire career in the sim.
Cy Young only had 380 wins but that was probably cause i went to a 4 man roatation too soon.
Babe Ruth finished with 700 hrs. So far the alltime best.
Im not gonna use drug suspensions till 1970 or later.
I didnt use 40 man rosters but in my next test run i will.
I may try different schedule lengths too. I do know that no matter what the schedule length i would like it to stretch from April to September.
All in all i like the results im seeing. Im not one to focus on how close the whole league does stat wise even though i know it can effect indivual performance. Because i can for the life of me i cant remember which team had the best batting average in 1993 but i can rememeber indivual perormances.
Thats what i like when the induivual stats are close to real life. Not the exact same result but close.

I am surprised that you are getting stats that close to reality since most teams only used 1 pitcher for the first part of those years and some eventually went to 2 pitchers, and even though the teams only played league teams 30 times a year, they played about 60 other games each year against amateur teams, mostly allstars from a particular city or area. And even playing those extra 60 games, they only used one pitcher... Of course pitching wasn't really that important back then. I am wondering if you are getting error stats that are close to matching that era? Many teams were yielding as many as 3 errors per inning. And of course in the beginning it took 9 balls to get a walk so really pitching didn't mean much. Using a four man rotation doesn't seem very realistic to me, at least for the earlier years.
Anyway, interesting reading in this thread.
By the way, this is not intended to criticize anyone for how they are setting up their sims....not my business. Just passing along some information about that era that perhaps some people don't know. I sure would have loved to see infielders playing without regular mitts on their hands. No wonder there were so many errors. OUCH!
