This still happens. Two teams, including mine, in my 9.1.6 online league had it happen with our first OOTP9 draft a few days ago. Everyone in the league either used the personal draft list or the AI to select their teams. My AI selected players were not released. My personal draft list guys, basically the first three rounds of the draft, were released. More than once. We can't get them to remain on my team.

The fact that this bug still exists is BS. I don't criticize OOTP on a serious level much, but I am not happy that after six years with this product there is still a critical flaw in an important facet of the game.
