Coleman Top Hitter in TU
Today Dwayne Coleman was voted Tycobbian Union Batter of the Month for July. During the month he compiled a .349 batting average.
Most importantly for Bayview though, he also posted 9 home runs, 29 RBIs and 19 runs scored.
This year Coleman is batting .310 with 26 home runs and 74 RBIs. In 74 games he has scored 58 times.
Ito #1 TU Pitcher in June
The best pitcher this past month in the Tycobbian Union was Toshiharu Ito of the Ginza Ninjas. He really razzle-dazzled league hitters, finishing June with a standout 6-0 record and 1.55 ERA.
The Ninjas twirler made 7 starts and surrendered 46 hits in 64 innings. He struck out 51 and walked 22.
This season in 7 starts Toshiharu Ito has a record of 7-1 with 78 strikeouts in 87.1 innings and a 1.85 ERA.
First Year Fame: Harrison Top TU Rookie
The Tycobbian Union made it official today -- Jerry Harrison of the Bayview Vikings is the Rookie of the Month.
In June he impressed the sportswriters with his domination of league hitters.
Harrison made 7 starts, registered 6 wins and no losses with a solid 3.12 ERA. In 57.2 innings he allowed 56 hits, racked up 30 strikeouts, walked 10 and permitted teams to hit .258 against him.
So far this year Harrison has 9 wins and 3 losses and a 3.19 ERA.
