Who would be interested in a league based on English Soccer?

I've been kicking this idea around for a while now, so I'm putting out feelers to see how many other people would potentially be interested in this. My general idea is for a league with fictional players. The teams would be those from the top three or four levels of English soccer. Four levels would give 92 teams, three levels would be 68 teams. I'm not ambitious enough to shoot for full participation, but if 1/3-1/2 of the teams were filled, I'd call it a good deal.

I'd probably recruit a couple people with strong interest to help me make the universe itself (setting up divisions and what not) and work out the details of how things would work, but as I see it:
  • 3-4 Major Leagues: Premiership -> Championship -> League One -> League Two (maybe)
  • Promotion and relegation between leagues.
  • 3-4 levels of minor leagues
  • No scouting
  • League would be based in England, but editing of the nation database may be done to make new draftees more international (making South America/Africa/Europe better at making baseball players)
  • Feeder leagues, perhaps based in global regions, split into amateur and semi-pro, which would be roughly equivalent to high school and college feeder leagues (different name for same thing)

My general goal is to make a quasi-fictional league with teams based on soccer clubs, as if the English football teams decided to play baseball. I wouldn't try and emulate the transfer system, though. Just regular baseball with promotion/relegation, basically.

How many people out there might be interested? I don't know how we'd go about selecting teams at this point, this is just to determine interest level.

I've got a temporary message board here: Message Board - Home
If you're interested, sign up there. I'll be asking for input from people on aspects of the league there.
