Wow, that felt good.

I have been around since OOTP2, but for years I have only been coming to the board for a quick look up of some information or to check out the latest mods. I was so excited for OOTP9, I started visiting the board again everyday. Everyone else was so excited too, so I wanted in on the fun. I tried to sign up for a new account, but to my surprise I already had an active one from '05 that I had forgotten about. I knew the board had moved since I was last an occasional poster and not just a lurker (I went by TDR back in the day.) I thought maybe I will start getting involved again; but alas, it seems the new car smell has worn off. Often, by the time I can get to a thread that interests me, something in it will make me mad (I'm a fanboy, I'll admit, I take this stuff personally.) I don't come here to get mad... now back to my point.

OOTP is the best stress reliever I have found. As an auditor, I am dealing with numbers all day. In my down time, OOTP gives me numbers I can lose myself in. When I am trying to figure out what I can get for Lenny Dykstra circa 1990, because he has blown up since I brought him to Pittsburgh in part of the blockbuster Barry Bonds, and I can't afford him anymore, I don't worry about work. My job has a fairly high burn out rate (I've seen it), but my family and OOTP have helped me keep balanced (just don't tell my wife I put both things in the same sentence.) So even though I don't post often, I have and will continue to support OOTP.

Thank you Markus.

Sincerely,
Dave (BMD, TDR, The David Reborn)

P.S. I have changed my avatar. Although the frowny thumbs down Simon cracks me up, I don't want people to think that is any sort of commentary on the game.
I'm also a OOTP addict and I can get pretty bitchy if I don't get my daily fix. Thanks alot Markus my life will never be the same. My wife of 36 years thinks I'm a complete head case especially when I do my victory dance..
