#2 usually online league are comprised of 32 GM's; humans, and the trades are done by the commissioner. If you're dealing with cpu lead teams then you'll have to make offers, sim, then wait for a response from said team.

In online leagues, teams may go without human owners for very short periods of time, but as far as I know, there are no online leagues which have computer-run teams competing with human-owned teams.
Except for brief, occasional vacancies, online leagues have 100% human ownership of teams.

Is this because it's not possible (or feasible), or just a matter of the way it's "usually done"?
If me and a couple of other friends (maybe 4-5 total) wanted to start a 32 team league or whatever, but only wanted/needed our 4-5 teams to be human run and the rest be CPU run, could we do that as an online league? If not, surely we could do it as a hotseat league, couldn't we?
If you CAN do it as an online league, then how would trading fit into that (i.e. two human teams trying to make offers to a CPU team for the same guy)?

#3 you go to the available free agents page and make offers. Ususally the smart GM bids a little higher for said player to sway him in their direction HOWEVER, your state (location), winning, his greed, other factors do coe into play. It's not just a meet demand hey i'll play for you game

Glad to hear that free agents take all of this into account. Based on your answer, it seems like you can get involved in bidding wars for a player (since you said these factors can swing him in your favor). How does this work exactly? Do you make a bid on a guy, and then he takes a few days to make a decision (giving other teams a chance to make him a better offer)? My concern was that if I was manager of team X, and I wanted a free agent, that I could just go open the free agent screen and pick the guy I wanted and hire him straight out without any other team (computer or human owned) having a chance to outbid me.
Thanks for you feedback.
