It's clearly not the most resource-effective method, at least in your CD version, which you're selling anyway. Why pay elicense a commission on your sales?

It's not self-rightious crap, its the truth. The easiest and most cost effective way for .400 Studios to release it's products is via eLicense, at least at this current time. The majority of users have not had any problems with eLicence, and most of the time if someone is having problems with eLicense it has to do with their CPU configuration or other programs on their computer interfering with eLicense. While those problems are unfortunate, ViaTech offers excellent cutomer support and usually replies to e-mails within hours.
I agree it sucks you can't install the game on multiple(more than two) computers, but by doing that its saves .400 Studios money since it prevents people from "sharing" the game. I realize some people want to install it on 3+ cpu's but you can always unlicense the game on one cpu... Allowing remote acess to the game would be nice, but it offers more of a chance that people whould be "sharing" the game.
I'll admit eLicense isn't the ideal way to buy software, however with .400 Studios being a small business it makes economical sence to them, and really thats what matters. It doesn't make much sence for a small business to release a game that is very easy to "share" since they'd loose alot of money.
Oh, and one final thing... saying you are going to crack the game, thus stealing from .400 Studios, is a great way to get banned
