I've played OOTP for years and never had these problems before, so now I'm starting to get seriously frustrated. I was just playing without issue, and tried to save my league when the game crashed for no apparent reason on the "Saving Messages" phase. Now, when I try to load game or continue game, it tells me that the messages cannot be loaded and my league file is corrupt. Why should I continue playing this game if each league I start is going to be lost? Is there anything I can do here?

I don't want to do anything fancy, just play the game without it constantly destroying my leagues.
