BZ 1545 : Draft not enforcing team nationality restrictions

Reposted from the general discussion forum:

Hope this is the place to report this, hope it hasn't already been reported, etc...

Anyhow, I wanted to experiment with team nationalities so I created a 16 team league with the United States as the nationality. I set the foreign player limit to "No foreign players," and "Base Limit on" to "Team Nationality." I then changed the nationality of one of the teams to Afghanistan. I then accepted the job as the manager from the team from Afghanistan.

For the inaugural draft the game generated an appropritate number of U.S. and Afghani (not sure how that's spelled) players and away we went. When my turn came around to see if I could get away with it I selected U.S. born SS Oliver Smith. The game allowed me to draft him. I drafted another U.S. born player and then allowed the computer to finish the draft... it picked all Afghani players.

I was able to play Oliver in games with no limitation. I was not able to trade Afghani players to other teams... the other team said it violated their league rules. I was also not able to sign non-Afghani free agents. So it seems the problem is just limited to the draft. I had the same results from the amateur draft... I could pick and play U.S. born players but if the computer picked for me it would only pick Afghanis.

There's an easy workaround: just don't cheat. But I thought I throw it out here as an FYI.
